Dearborn and "The Henry Ford"

We had a more leisurely departure this morning, not leaving the hotel until 10:00 a.m.. The weather is much cooler and a little drizzly at times. We drove about 2 hours to Dearborn and arrived at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation at about 1:00.

We spent about 3 hours wandering around this wonderful Museum, grabbing a bite to eat for lunch at Lamy's Diner. There were lots of antique automobiles, trucks, airplanes, farm equipment, and presidential limousines. We enjoyed a special exhibit call called "Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume". The display included the actual costumes worn by familiar names in familiar movies or TV shows.

Our hotel tonight is a DoubleTree a bit closer to the airport. After a brief respite we had our final group dinner in the hotel dining room. We will leave for the airport at 5:00 a.m. A short night for sure!
