Heading for Home!

We left the hotel at 5:00AM as scheduled and arrived at the Detroit airport in plenty of time. Getting through security was no problem. An uneventful flight to Dallas, then on to Boise. We got home about 3:00PM to a beautiful 80 degree day!

It was a great trip! We saw everything we intended to and some interesting things we never would have found on our own. The organizers did a great job and we were able to keep to the schedule with no issues. We really enjoyed the DL Evans travel club gang; lots of fun and no complaining! Amy and Mark did a fine job keeping us all wrangled and our Guide, Allen, was a hoot! Poor fellow spent the whole trip on crutches or in a borrowed wheelchair. He does this for a living; has taken groups all over the world. He at times gets frustrated when other people don't follow through with their promises (ex: a hotel was supposed to be ready for us and they weren't).

One of the things we hoped to learn from this trip is if we liked "bus trips", as opposed to a cruise, when you don't have to move every day. I think we agree that a cruise would be more relaxing.
